“People don’t take trips, trips take people.” – John Steinbeck

On the day I retired, no one asked me what I was going to do. I was shouting from the rooftops “I am going to travel. I am going to write.” I was born to travel. I didn’t get the chance until I was seventeen and crossed the border into Mexico. I stayed for five years. Then I met a man who would be my husband. We lived in Japan for five years.

Life is a Journey. It is divided into parts. The first part is childhood. Then comes adulthood. Adulthood includes marriage, children, or the choice of staying single. My choice was marriage and a move to Japan.  The second part of your life comes when you are not prepared. My husband passed away from lung cancer three years ago. We were married 35 years. This is my 2nd Life. A life of travel, writing, and telling stories.

The journey continues with my husband as my guiding angel sitting on my shoulder every day and guiding me. I invite you to come discover, explore, and learn about the places I have been to. Read my stories and make comments about the stories you read.

Come follow me on this 2nd life journey.
